April 2002
Dear Friends of Summer Breeze,
I hope you are enjoying some lovely spring days, wherever you are. From a still rather cold NYC, I wanted to update you with a few developments in our animated film project.
Here we go:
– ANIMATION GENERATION –
This coming Thursday, April 11th, Summer Breeze is going to be presented at an animation conference held at Kingston University, England. To find out more about the two-day conference, please take a look here:
http://www.animationgeneration.info
If you happen to be situated near and around Kingston Upon Thames, you may want to attend and get a chance (which we don’t have!) to see our teaser screened in the first day animation screening finale. The project’s full video presentation will be playing at the lunchtime screenings, and also at the Animation Theatre screenings.
– SIGGRAPH 2002 –
As you may or may not know, "Summer Breeze" was presented in one of the SIGGRAPH panels last year as work in progress. This year, Yaron organized a course on character setup for animation and is one of the speakers. The other three speakers are Jason Schleifer from Weta Digital Ltd., Mark A. Piretti from Blue Sky Studios and Raffaele Scaduto-Medola from DreamWorks SKG. The course is listed on the "COURSES HIGHLIGHTS" list, which you can review here:

That’s it for now. I hope you are happy to be on our mailing list. If you are not, do let me know by replying to this email and you will be taken off immediately.
Good Breeze,
Tami
